Burning in Heaven
(set to Sarah MacLachlan's "Witness" which os SO their song!)

Will we burn in heaven like we do down here?
Your body enflames me and I am ever consumed by you. There is no other way for me.
Will we burn in heaven like we do down here?
Always.
Always.
Sometimes the words of others retain a resonance. I suppose that is why the arts are so powerful, born of passion as they are. I always expected passion from master painters. Genius composers. Who knew that simple love songs from any specific era could bite so deeply?
Will we burn in heaven like we do down here? I chose this place. I chose it long ago, because I know there is no other heaven for me unless it is with you.
You move with me and your is body so exquisitely in tune with mine that I am dizzy with the closeness. I am delirious with how perfect things can feel.
Is misery made beautiful right before our eyes? Will mercy be revealed or blind us where we stand?
If I have been miserable, it is all made right now. Mercy has been revealed…and yes. I am blinded. I see nothing but you. I carried the weight and died happily for the cause.
Dead….but more alive than I ever was before.
Will we burn in heaven like we do down here?
The touch of your mouth upon me nothing more exists, when you speak my name, there is no sweeter sound. I can burn no hotter, I think. Your love is my salvation, your touch is my saving grace. I hear nothing but the sound of your breath, the melody of your voice. Your scent fills me with bliss and the taste of your skin is ecstasy unparalleled. My world has narrowed to the point of obsession and it matters not at all because for me there is nothing else.
Bear Witness, Lestat.
Bear witness to my need…bear witness to my desire. Bear witness to how I love you so.
